Hi there,
I’m Amber. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who has been guiding adults who have lost their way with eating to food freedom and body peace for over a decade. Living with disordered eating can be disorienting and all-encompassing. My goal is to make the steps to achieving and maintaining recovery clear so that my clients are ultimately able to realize their full potential.
Your story, values and hopes for recovery (whether to enjoy meals with friends, find love or spend more time on passion projects) are important to me. I think of my relationship with each of my clients as similar to that of a traveler and their guide: My clients goals determine our destination and my expertise in eating disorder recovery acts as the compass that will lead us there.
My approach is highly collaborative, always empowering and absolutely individualized. What this means to my clients is feeling safe, respected and understood in session.
I’ve found that the great majority of my clients have two things in common: they are interested in learning more about themselves as they unravel their eating disorders and they are seeking to live increasingly in-line with their genuine values (ie. community, creativity, gratitude). By introducing and integrating principles of mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy and internal family systems as we discuss food & body, I am able to support my clients in both of these things.
If you are presently living with an active eating disorder, my wish for you is that you may soon lead a life of peace, presence, confidence and joy, unburdened by the experience and effects of disordered eating cycles.
